I Launched my Own Facebook Group! | SeptemBlog 2020

Yes, you read that right! 

My Facebook group FINALLY launched today! 

After months of deliberation and preparation, I set the group to "Visible" and crossed my fingers during my livestream announcement. 11 people surprisingly joined, and as a thank you, I picked 3 people and sent them P50 GCash each (click here to read why I only use GCash).  

But aside from giving away GCash, what and why did I create my own Facebook group? Why add another social media "account" to my ever growing list of handles? 

Well, the answer is simple. As early (or as late, depends on how you see it), I want to be able to create my own community. I want to have a "home" for all my readers, followers, and viewers, somewhere that can expect me to be 100% present and without pretensions. I mean, let's be real, I do try and have a consistent image on my social media profiles. I want my social media profiles as cohesive as possible and easy to navigate both for the brands and my audience. On my Facebook group, which I have named "Cyphr Central <3", I feel like I can be all over the place if I wanted too -- so long as I fulfill my promises and exceed the expectations that I have set upon joining the group. 

Yes, the name is Cyphr Central <3, and you can join right this very moment (Password: Blog Launch)! At first I wanted it named like those beautiful Facebook groups that I am part of, namely Owning Your Ambition by Kiley Baker, The Skinny Confidential by Lauren, Professional Bloggers Group by Kathy Ngo, SocietyGal, and Boss Girl Bloggers to name a few. The original name was "She Who Dares, Wins! Your top resource for online success" but that felt too pretentious. I also don't think I'll be able to provide "top resources for online success" when I don't even understand it myself! So, I decided to go with something a little more close to home, Cyphr Central <3. For me, it speaks clearly of what you can expect from this group. 

Speaking of expectations, here are my plans for the group: 

- Daily posts to brighten your day and motivate you

- Regular and dedicated content curated for you

- Monthly giveaways, contests, and events (if possible)

- Member of the Month

- For our content creator members, Channel of the Month and/or Blog of the Month

- Early access to freebies, events, and announcements;

- and of course, a welcoming group that will always be ready to listen to what you have to say. You can ask any question, share every achievement, and of course, meet new friends in the digital space!

I know it's a tall order, but I am so excited and so pumped for this!
