REVIEW: Hayan White Cream | Charis Celeb 2020

The Hayan White Cream by The Good Sham is what we can call a functional cosmetic -- meaning, it is not just a tone up cream, it actually does something more for the skin.

(before and after photo)

The immediate effects are brightening and whitening, and the bottle contains 50ml of product.

This claims to give a naturally fair skin effect and can be used one other body parts and at night time. It evens out the skin tone and smooths the skin texture.

This contains Niacinamide which as we all know is a powerful brightening ingredient. It contains Allantoin which strengthens the skin barrier as well. Meaning, it not only brightens but also provides hydration relief and protection for the skin.

The active ingredients are:

  • RED Hogweed Extract that helps to reduce discolorations through tyrosinase control
  • Lemon Extract that reduces moisture loss which maintains hydrated skin
  • Sea-buckthorn Tree Extract that is packed with vitamins and amino acids that nourishes the skin
  • Orange Flower Water that helps to fight free radicals
  • Apple Extract that helps protect skin from oxidative stress
  • Niacinamide that brightens the skin by melanin control
  • Titanium Dioxide provides UV rays protection

Here's a full copy of the ingredients list (copied from the charis page)

I highlighted the active ingredients so you can see if there's a good amount of it in the actual product.

The list has Titanium Dioxide and Niacinamide pretty high up the ingredients lists which is really good because that means it has a high concentration of those ingredients.

It comes in a simple but pretty white box with easy to read text, which makes it look and feel really luxe for me. The white squeezy tube has the similar look of the box, but it has this beautiful satin/pearl-like finish on the tube. It was also sealed which is a plus for me.

The scent is fruity, and upon testing it on my hand, it seems to have some kind of separation happening, there is a really thick consistency but there’s also some very liquidy stuff that settles on my skin lines. When I spread it on my skin, it still settled on my lines but when it dried, it gave my skin a blurred, soft matte finish -- literally a koreana skin look

IT IS NOT STICKY even if I don’t set it with powder but it still has that some sort of shine (how is that possible lol).

I tried using this over a period of time and I am happy to say that I did not get any breakouts or irritation from it, so it's a good one for me. it also lasts on me, and I do not end up with patchy looking skin even after hours of wear. I recommend it for those who are in need of a tone-up cream that will not make you look too pale.
